Australia opener David Warner has been managed out of the leftover white-ball matches against India subsequent to harming his crotch in the second ODI. D'Arcy Short has been named his substitution in the T20I arrangement that follows.

Short's last T20I was by chance against India in Bengaluru in February 2019. He was ready and waiting for this home summer and had been preparing with the crew since flying from Perth to New South Wales following the COVID-19 flare-up in Adelaide.

Marcus Stoinis, who sat out of the second ODI because of a side strain, keeps on leftover with the crew. In the interim, all-rounder Mitchell Marsh won't join the Australia 'A' crew as arranged prior. He will presently proceed with his recovery from a lower leg injury continued while playing in the IPL and make his rebound with the Perth Scorchers in the BBL.
