Rahul Gandhi Calls JeM Chief Masood Azhar Ji | BJP Back Lashed

The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Monday mounted a fresh attack on Congress president Rahul Gandhi. The party has tweeted a video showing Gandhi referring to Pakistan-based terror outfit Jaish-e-Mohammed founder Masood Azhar as ‘Azharji’.

With hashtag "Rahul Loves Terrorists", the BJP said that Rahul Gandhi holds respect for the terror group JeM responsible for the martyrdom of 44 braves of India.
The opposition party has hit back, accusing the BJP of intentionally twisting Gandhi’s comments made with sarcasm.

Rahul Gandhi, while addressing a meeting of Congress workers here, had hit out at the BJP, saying, "These people with 56 inch chest, you would recall, in their previous government, the current National Security Advisor AjitDoval went in an aircraft with Masood Azharji and handed over Masood Azhar there in Kandhar."

Gandhi had noted that it was Masood Azhar who was responsible for the killing of 40 CRPF soldiers in Jammu and Kashmir’s Pulwama district on February 14.

Targeting the Congress president, BJP leader and Union minister Ravi Shankar Prasad said, "Come on Rahul Gandhi Ji! Earlier it was the likes of Digvijay Ji who called Osama Ji and Hafiz Saeed Sahab. Now you are saying 'Masood Azhar Ji'. What is happening to Congress Party?"
Another Union minister SmritiIrani also took jibe at Rahul Gandhi.

"What is common between Rahul Gandhi and Pakistan? Their love for terrorists. Please note Rahul ji's reverence for terrorist Masood Azhar - a testimony to #RahulLovesTerrorists," she tweeted.
Responding to the BJP leaders, Congress chief spokesperson Randeep Singh Surjewala tweeted: “Two questions to BJP & select Bhakt Media, who deliberately seek to twist the 'Masood' sarcasm of Rahul Ji-

1) Did NSA Doval not escort & release terrorist Masood Azhar in Kandahar?

2) Did Modiji not invite Pak's rogue ISI to investigate Pathankot terror attack?" He also used the hashtag "BJP loves terrorists".

In 1999, the then BJP-led government headed by Atal Bihari Vajpayee had released three terrorists, including Masood Azhar, in exchange for the passengers held hostage aboard IC-814 flight hijacked to Kandahar in Afghanistan.

Well as the elections are coming near daily we’re going to hear such more stunts. Let’s see what another political controversy waits tomorrow.
